Anita's Evaluation Q5 - How did you attract/address your audience?

After we worked out who are audience will be, we need to think of way to attract them to our magazine. In our questionnaire (Q9), we asked people what attracts them the most to a magazine, and the result we got was the cover. I also think that first reactions to the magazine is is important as it determines whether or not a person is attracted it it. The font and photos were the most important to attract our audience. We made sure to get a range of models for our photos of different races so that more people would be interested in it. They were also between the age of 17-25 so our young audience would have liked to read about people around their age.
The font we used for the masthead was important too as it tells a bit about what the magazine is like and the genre. We decided to use the font neon lights so that people would recognise it as a magazine for people who like night life.




The language of our magazine is also important as we need to keep the reader engaged in our article. We used a few slang words so that our readers feel comfortable reading the article and they relate to it. It also seems less formal if we used colloquial language.

I think that the colourful house style is eye catching and that it would immediately attract our target audience.
